What is sky Plus?
Sky Plus Tv is a combined satellite TV receiver and a Personal Video Recorder (PVR),
With Sky plus you can
- Watch one Sky channel while recording another
- Record two different Sky channels at the same time, while watching a recorded show
- Browse through a week's worth of TV with the on-screen programme guide, selecting which shows to record
- Pause and rewind live TV
- Follow a series - The excellent 'Series link' can be used to record episodes of your favorite series automatically, keeping track of schedule changes, and avoiding repeats.
- Select recordings from your Sky Planner, and copy them off to DVD or video
Sky Plus allows for approximately 40 hours of Tv recording.

What is High Definition? (HDTV)
Sky HD is the same as Sky plus and enables you to - pause and rewind live TV, record two Sky programmes at the same time and much more. With remote record, you can even set up programme recordings from your mobile phone or online via sky.com.
Record and play back programmes in HD as well as standard definition. The Sky HD box comes with up to double the amount of standard definition storage than a Sky+ box, so you can save even more of your favorites. Store up to 80 hours of standard definition programmes or up to 30 hours of HD shows.
You will need a Sky HD box and a HDTV to view Sky HD pictures as well as an extra €15 per month to your existing sky Subscription. More ...
Sky Plus and Sky HD both require 2 cable feeds from the dish to be able to function correctly.
